Calculate the mass of a sample of gold that
occupies 0.939 cm3. The density of gold is
19.3 g/cm3.
Answer in units of g.

mass = density x volume

In this case:

mass = 19.3 g/cm3  x  .939 cm3

The cm3 cancel and the answer has the units of grams as requested.
