To calculate the molarity of a solution, you need to divide the number of moles of the solute by the volume of the solution expressed in Liters.  Here is a sample calculation: What is the molarity of a solution containing 0.32 moles of NaCl in 3.4 liters?  For dilute aqueous solutions, the volume of solution is approximately equal to the volume of water used as the solvent, and can generally be substituted.
