hey

In one process 6.00 kg of CaF2 are treated with an excess of H2SO4 and yield 1.26 kg of HF. Calculate the percent yield of HF.

So, theoretical yield is what you need to find and actual yield ins given to yo,for this you need the stoichiometry method and you have to begin with writing the balanced equation:
CaF2 + H2SO4 ------> 2HF + CaSO4
1 mol of CaF2 reacts with excess H2SO4 to form 2 mol of HF.
So, now find out how many moles will form with 6 kg of CaF2, convert kg to grams then grams to moles
6000 g and using the molar mass of CaF2 , 6000/ 78.07 = 76.85 moles
76.85 moles CaF2 x 2 moles HF / 1 mol CaF2 = ? Mol of HF
You found theoretical yield of HF. And actual yield is given, now simply use the formula of percent yield to calculate percent yield of HF
